Pelvic Organ Prolapse

Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) is when the layers of connective tissue and muscles of the pelvic floor are not supporting the pelvic organs (vagina, urethra, uterus, bladder and rectum) properly and they they drop down. Women may feel a "bulge down there", have urinary symptoms such as infections or leakage, difficulty having a bowel movement or no symptoms at all. Let the doctors at Dallas Women's Healthcare Specialists help you determine if you have pelvic organ prolapse and what treatment options are right for you.
